I really fucking LOVE music, so I’m studying the personalities of the music maker by surfing their subconscious. Open a bottle of red; pour it slowly into the crystal chamber of a glass to breath it gracefully back to life; find the subject’s music in the library; turn it up loud, really fucking loud; have a sip; see you when I return.

You could say, at the moment, I specialize in translating the psychological state into pop-surrealist portraiture. In my current body of work Rock Mysticism, I’m drawn to the study of pop music icons and the challenge of conveying their state of mind and life stories through sketching and digitally painting their faces.

Great musicians are sorcerers of sound, able to manipulate energy to connect and play with the emotions of many simultaneously. As a psychologist, I am inspired by human potential, particularly those that are able to tap deeply into the emotions of others and inspire. I can’t think of any better subject than the pop musician.

I hope to share my experience with as many people as possible. When I touch even just a single person when bringing them into my journey, it propels me like a rocket into honing my craft and producing more work. Before I die I need to know what would happen to my art if it touched many. I will find out.
